Ada Marceline (Cooley) Bohannon

    Ada Marceline (Cooley) Bohannon, 91, of Godfrey passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Born February 17, 1931, she was the daughter of Leonard and Marie (Hines) Cooley. She married William Bohannon on August 31, 1948, he survives.

    She is also survived by two daughters Linda (Russ) Borth of Normal, IL and Debbie Bearley of Godfrey, IL; two grandsons Chris (Connie) Borth of South Carolina and Mark (Meghan) Bearley of Godfrey; four great grandchildren, Anna, Caleb, and Isaac Borth and Maddie Bearley; a sister, Venita Brafford of Herrin, IL; a brother, Earl Ray Cooley of Dongola, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Derek Borth; brothers, Deleen, Lowell, Larry, Richard, and Leon Cooley; and sisters Loretta Evins and Janelle Eudy.

    Marcy, as she was known by many, was a homemaker and pastor’s wife. She loved building a home with her husband Bill for 73 years, spending time with her family, decorating, and working in the church.

    Funeral services for Ada Marceline Bohannon will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment will follow at the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m.  Friday, July 8, 2022 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, IL.
