Donald Vines

         Donald Vines, age 83 of Cobden, died Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the Cobden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born August 27, 1939, the son of Lloyd and Edna (Landis) Vines. He married Bonnie Davis June 30, 1963.

         Donald is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Vines of Cobden; daughter, Jenni (Jake) Baggott of Dodgeville, WI; grandchildren, Robbie Williams, Ryan, Alisha and Richard Baggott; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Virginia Adams, Joyce Barnhart, Linda Hopp and Jean Marie Vines; two brothers, Lloyd Vines, Jr. and James W. Vines.

         Donald worked twenty-two years at Southern Illinois University as a groundskeeper, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed going to farm auctions in his spare time. He honorably served his country in the United States Army.

         Private family services will be held at Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. The family would like to request that those wanting to pay respects to Mrs. Bonnie, they can visit her at the Cobden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
