Edward "Eddie" Casper

     Edward “Eddie” Casper, age 76 of Cobden, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at his home. He was born March 24, 1946 in Anna, the son of Adolphus “Jimmie” and Esther Kelly (Garner) Casper. He married Lynn Wilson.

     Eddie is survived by his wife, Lynn Casper; daughter, Kimberly (Samuel) Cheek; grandchildren, Mariah Gilbert (Jacob Webster), Daniel Wade Kelso, Edward William Kelso, and Nelson Cheek; great-grandchildren, Alex Gilbert, Nick Gilbert, and Makenzia Webster; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Wesley Casper; siblings, Gerald, Nancy, Robbie, and Bobbie Casper.

     Eddie proudly served his country in the United States Marines, National Guard, and the Air Force. He was awarded a Purple Heart and a bronze Medal for Bravery for his time of service.

     There will be no services held for Eddie. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home.
