Fawn Pete Follis, age 85 of Ware, went home to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born December 12, 1936 in Ware, the son of Coastal Lincoln and Lucile Marie (Morneweg) Follis. He married Carolyn Wilson of June 20, 1959 in Harrisburg.
Fawn is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Follis of Ware; two daughters, Cara Follis of Jonesboro and Amy (Stuart) Rendleman of Anna; grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Follis of Jonesboro, Grace (Logan) Rich of Jonesboro, Keri Rendleman (Jayden Moore) of Anna; great-grandchildren, Mallory and Adalyn Follis; brother, Dale (Joan) Follis of Marion; sister in law, Eleanor Keller of Anna; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin granddaughters, Baylee and Sibyl Rendleman. Fawns family would like to express their love and gratitude to Sandy McWhorter who has been a caregiver and family for the last several years.
Fawn was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School Class of 1954. He was a lifelong member of the Ware United Methodist Church serving as a trustee and also served as board member for the Union County Farm Bureau in earlier years. Fawn enjoyed spending time outdoors and just being on the farm.
Graveside funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Anna Cemetery with Pastor Sandy Estes officiating. Interment will immediately follow. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ware United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the funeral home.
