Georgia W (Niblack) Smith

    Georgia W. Smith, age 82 of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born June 12, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of William and Kathleen Marie (Diamond) Niblack. She married Bill T. Smith. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2019.

    Georgia is survived by her children, Delbert Clover, Jr. of Cobden, Mark Clover of Jonesboro and Matthew Clover of Jackson, Missouri; a sister, Roberta Johnson of Hord, Illinois; twelve grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Sandy Morrison and Linda Heck.

    Georgia loved quilting. She was the last surviving member of the Busy Hands Quilting Club. She enjoyed music and, in the past, was very active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

    Funeral services for Georgia Smith will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Bill Littrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Alto Pass Cemetery.  Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at the funeral home.
